Oct 22: Simchath Torah Celebration – 5780

MONDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER, 21ST
5:00 PM – Mincha
5:30 PM – Children’s program
5:30 PM – ULTIMATE PRE-SIMCHAS TORAH CELEBRATION
FOR ADULT MEN AND WOMEN (see below)
7:15 PM – Maariv followed by hakafoth

 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER ,22ND
10:00 AM –Torah reading and individual aliyoth
11:00 AM – Kiddush Luncheaon
1:00 PM – Communal Torah Reading

 

“The Ultimate Pre- Simcha Torah Celebration – 5780”
1. Our Fundraising Goal is $60,000.
2. We will be having raffles.
3. The raffles will take place on Monday October 21st just before Simchas Torah.
4. Tickets are $100.
5. Winners need not be present to win.
6. People will decide how many tickets they wish to pledge. All tickets are eligible for all raffles. Men / women /
children can pledge tickets.
7. We kindly ask for all pledges for the raffles to be made BEFORE Simchas Torah. e-mail all pledges to the
Rabbi at yossi@rogers.com and let him know how many tickets you wish to pledge.8. No person can win more than 2 raffles. If they do, they can switch from a lower honor / prize to a higher one.
9. Of the 15 items below – 3 immediately go to the highest raffle pledges ; 12 are raffled off afterwards.

1. Ata Horeisa for Thur. night [allows you to honor 15 people to read a Pasuk] – Mon. night

7. Hagba & Gelila – Thur. night

11. Hagba & Galila — 1st Torah – Tue.
12. Hagba & Galila — 2nd Torah – Tue.
13. Hagba & Galila — 3rd Torah – Tue.
14. Choson Torah [honouring the Rabbi]– Tue.
15. Choson Bereishis – Tue.
11. Each raffle winner gets the right to keep or give the Aliya to whom they choose PLUS they win another prize…..
12. Prizes include: Bottles of Premium Scotch, Gift cards, Judaica, Leaf Tickets, Raptor Tickets, Seforim, etc. –
valued between $100 – $500
13. Schedule: 5:30 – 7:15 PM – Gourmet Refreshments, Le’chaim’s, & Raffles.
14. Enjoy Moroccan cigars, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, egg rolls, premium scotch , and lots more !
15. Please bring your friends. Non-members are encouraged to participate.
16. Please note: we will not have any auctioning on Tuesday morning.
17. After the celebration & Maariv, we will have joint Ashkenazi & Sfardi Hakafos
