One of the most unique aspects of Westmount Shul & Learning Centre is the diversity of our membership. We welcome individuals at all levels of Judaism who are committed to learning and personal growth. Like many of us have found as we explore Judaism, the more one learns, the more one realizes how much there is to learn. Judaism is a religion not only rich in tradition, but rich in spirituality.
In just a few years we have grown from an initial 70 families to more than 170 families and continue to grow thanks to our dynamic Rabbi, Yossi Michalowicz and his teachings. At our Shul, there truly is something for everyone, irrespective of one’s level of Jewish education. The important thing and the one thing we all share in common, is that we are all interested in growing our understanding of, and love for Judaism.
Our Orthodox-based Shul is a reflection of the diversity of the Jewish community but is united by our commitment to, and upholding of Torah values. These are the same Torah values articulated to the Jewish people by Moses on Mount Sinai some three thousand years ago.
We view ourselves as an ever-growing family that provides a warm, embracing, loving and stimulating home to our fellow Jews. We share in each others joys and sorrows and accept and learn from our differences.
