Be Happy – Purim Parties for Adults and Kids
Adults – Mystical Seudah Meal – Tuesday. March 10th at 6PM to 9PM, Westmount Shul is hosting a talent show with judges and singing Kumzits.
Young Kids Purim Carnival is Sunday March 3rd at 3PM. Carnival games, kids’ foods and entertainers, meet the young families in your Thornhill neighborhood.
The readings at Westmount this year will be for adults and older kids only. Ask Rabbi Farkas about this and more kid’s programs for Purim in Thornhill.

Do Good – Send Food Gifts to Friends
The shul’s mishloach manot program sends members of the shul baskets on your behalf and sells extra baskets. To participate, and purchase additional baskets – contact the Learning Centre
The basket contains delicacies, wine and art from Israeli farms and artisans. It’s a basket full of delicious anti-BDS.

Do Good – Give A Meal to Two Poor
Fulfill the most important Purim mitzvah by giving two poor people a good meal on Purim day. The Rabbi can perform this mitzvah on your behalf in Thornhill and on the day of Purim – contact the rabbi at shul or via the office to participate ahead of Purim. The shul also has a Purim Food drive for poor Jewish families in Thornhill.

Purim Observances
The shul will have half-shekel coins to redeem males – the day before Purim. Men should give a half-shekel to be redeemed and conted in the nation of Israel – the day before Purim. Come to Mincha or Shacharit on Friday.

Purim Food Drive
The cost of food is astronomical and many families in Toronto will not be able to afford adequate food without your help Please drop any kosher food items off through April 7th at the shul. We are also fundraising for Leket in Israel.

Join a Torah class, join a chavrutah (study group) on Thursday nights, or come experience the joyful shabbos singing. Our members, some 170 families, come from all walks of life and although we are all seriously committed to Torah-based observance, we recognize that we are all at different levels and therefore are all enthusiastic about uncovering the magic of our Torah.
