Sept 25: High Holiday Services 2022

Rosh Hashanah begins Sunday, September 25, 2022 and Yom Kippur begins  Tuesday, October 4, 2022. This year we want all members to be included in our coronation of G‑d as king. There are three types of services and spaces to choose from. Read more about the schedules, events and assistance available with getting to Shul.

Option 1 – Full length Services in Nusach Ashkenaz

Option 2 – Full length Services in Nusach Edot Mizrach (Benei Israel)

Option 3 – Briefer services with talks, an all-family experience

THE DEADLINE TO INFORM THE OFFICE WHERE YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING – IS SEPTEMBER 15TH

HELPING YOU GET THERE:

Family experience high holidays jewish thornhill
Option 2 – a more brief service, all-family experience and talks
  • We have four Shabbos compliant mobility scooters available to those who would not be able to attend otherwise.
  • Seats are assigned and reserved for you through out the high holidays.
  • Kids programs and babysitting to help both them and you have a meaningful day.
  • Classes throughout the day, page signs and volunteers that help anyone who wishes to join in.
  • Kiddush together using boxed lunches.

NOTE: THERE ARE NO COVID RESTRICTIONS AT ALL SERVICES. WE ARE BACK TO NORMAL.

Rosh Hashanah Evening – Sunday Sept. 25:
6:51 pm Mincha/ Maariv / Candle Lighting

1st Day – Monday Sept. 26:
8:00 am Shacharis in Shul & Sfardi Minyan
8:30 am Shacharis in Moriah Room
10:30 am Youth Programs until 12:30 PM
12:00 am Class with Rebbetzin followed by shofar
6:40 pm Mincha / Maariv
7:57 pm Earliest Candle Lighting from a pre-existing flame & Yom Tov preparations

2nd Day – Tuesday Sept. 27:
8:00 am Shacharis in Shul & Sfardi Minyan
8:30 am Shacharis in Moriah Room
10:30 am Youth Programs until 12:30 PM
12:00 am Class with Rebbetzin followed by shofar
6:40 pm Mincha / Maariv
7:56 pm Havdallah

Kol Nidrei – Tuesday Oct. 4:
1:05 pm Halachik Midday – Preferred earliest time for men to go to the Mikveh
3:00 pm Mincha in Main Shul for all options
5:41 pm Earliest Candle Lighting
6:35 pm Latest Candle Lighting

PLEASE LIGHT AT HOME BEFORE YOU COME TO SHUL

6:35 pm Kol Nidrei for all minyanim
8:00 pm Class with Rebbetzin

Special Afternoon Class with Rabbi Michalowicz after Musaf in Main Shul

5:00 pm Mincha / Neilah – Moriah Room & Sfardi Minyan
7:42 pm Shofar Blast for all Minyanim followed by Maariv
